About Course
About this session
If you never practised Yoga Nidra before, this session is the perfect way to start.
This forty-minute-long session will take you slowly through the different stages of Yoga Nidra in the traditional Yogic way.
During Yoga Nidra or ‘’the conscious sleep’’, the teacher’s voice brings the practitioner through different steps of consciousness using different systematic techniques and exercises.
These step-by-step techniques are designed to take the student safely in and out of the practice: at the start, we are moving from the physical body to the subtle and causal bodies of our being. At the end of the practice, the voice is taking the practitioner gradually back out by using reversal techniques and moving through the subtle and causal bodies to the physical body again.
When you leave the practice, you will feel relaxed and refreshed. You feel a sense of calm, clarity and peace which will be with you for the rest of the day.
Yoga Nidra is not a having a nap, although, apparently thirty minutes of this practice is as beneficial as a night of night sleep.
