About Course
Prana Nidra is a powerful meditative technique that promotes relaxation and calmness. It is similar to traditional Yoga Nidra in that it is practised while lying on the floor. However, there are some slight differences between the two techniques.
Yoga Nidra aims to induce a state of deep sleep-like consciousness while maintaining awareness of our inner experiences and a profound sense of being. In contrast, Prana Nidra focuses on harmonising and realigning the small, agitated energies that animate us, which are experienced through the body’s nervous system processes. This practice helps us reconnect with our senses, physical and mental identity, and presence while promoting balance and energy.
During a Prana Nidra session, we use breath, visualisation, and our senses to encourage the proper flow of bodily energies. This technique enables us to use our energy to positively influence our overall physical and mental well-being. Prana Nidra also helps regulate our nervous system functions, such as heart rate, blood pressure, circulation, respiration, digestion, and more.
Most importantly, Prana Nidra enhances concentration and sensitises our minds to be receptive to the flow of energy and the sensation of being whole. This deeply revitalising and calming practice allows us to tap into our full potential and cultivate a sense of inner harmony and balance.
